Mixing and mastering for Lake Country musicians
You recorded it at home. Now get it sounding finished, with a mix and master built around the sound you are after.
Plenty of musicians around Lake Country, Winfield and Oyama already record at home in Ableton or Pro Tools. The tracks are good, but the mix does not sound like the records you love. That is where mixing and mastering come in.
What to send
- Your session, or individual stems exported from it, at full quality.
- One or two reference tracks that show the sound you are after.
- Notes on anything that must stay as it is.
What happens next
| Step | What happens |

| 2 | We mix, aiming at the sound in your notes |
| 3 | Up to 3 revision rounds on the mix |
| 4 | Mastering for streaming and release |
When it is worth recording here instead
If vocals or live instruments are the weak point, a few hours in a treated room can change the result more than any amount of mixing. Many artists record the key parts at the studio and finish the rest at home. The studio is roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Lake Country.
Mixing and mastering for one-off work are quoted with the project. Within a long-term project they are built in.
Questions
Can you mix something I recorded at home?
Yes. Send the session or exported stems, with references and notes. Pricing for one-off mixing is quoted with the project.
Do I have to use Pro Tools or Ableton?
No. Exported stems from any program work.
Can I record vocals here and mix the rest myself?
Yes. A few hours on the parts that matter most is a common way to work.
